This issue should be tested both in Android and iOS.

      1. As admin, enable MathJax filter in a site (Site administration > Plugins > Filters > Manage filters) and disable the TeX notation filter. Our master testing site already has it configured.
      2. Put some MathJax formulas in some content. There's already some in "MM Dev Testing > Resource: Page > Page with MathJax (a \ne 0)". Make sure the filter is enabled in that context and there's no glossary auto-links inside the formula (basically, check that the formulas work in web).
      3. In the app, access that content and check that the formulas are successfully rendered.

I teach high school math and have been using mathJax with great success for many years. With the release of the new app and quizzes taken in-app, most of my questions are a TeX / MathJAX filled mess on student iPads.
Not sure if this is a bug or a feature request, but right now my quizzes won't work if the student is using the app.
Maybe there's a workaround with the .css file that gets delivered to the app for custom theming? mathJAX uses a .js script to create the nice-looking math formats.
      Please advise. Thanks.

I'm running the latest app version and just upgraded the moodle server to 3.1+
