Moodle Mobile 3.1.3
In certain contexts it is common to use audio files instead of text as response options in a multiple choice question. Simply put, test-takers *hear * the choices rather than read them. At present the mobile app does not support the use of audio files as choices in MC quiz questions. When the test-taker attempts to play the audio file, a check appears indicating that an answer has been selected. The app is not able to distinguish an attempt to start the audio player from an attempt to select the choice as the correct answer.
Steps to replicate the problem:
1) create a quiz
2) add a multiple choice question containing audio files in Choice 1, Choice 2 and Choice 3 fields (note: the fields must be in HTML format)
3) start an attempt on the quiz using the Moodle Mobile app
4) attempt to play the files contained in the choices
I expected to be able to listen to the various response options for the question and then choose an answer. However, I was only able to select answers without being able to listen to the choices.
