Allow loading previous messages in a discussion

    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

    • Testing Instructions:
      Hide
      1. In Moodle web, go to a discussion and send messages until the conversation has more than 50 messages. Make sure that, in the last 50 messages, one user has sent more messages than the other.
      2. Login in the app as one of the users in the discussion and go to that discussion. Check that you see the last 50 messages as it should (before this patch it always loaded the same amount of messages from each user).
      3. Scroll top and check that you see a "Load previous" button. Click it and check that the previous messages are loaded. Check that the scroll position is kept after the previous messages are loaded.
        • You'll see a weird scroll effect when doing this. I didn't find any way to fix it, I opened a topic in Ionic forum but there isn't any reply.

      Description

The amount of messages displayed is limited. We should allow loading previous messages using an infinite loading or a button to load more.
