Create an assignment with auto completion when viewing set: as admin, edit the assignment settings Activity Completion>Show activity is complete when conditions are met and check "Require view Student must view this activity to complete it "

In the app, navigate to that assignment as student

Go back to the section that contains the assignment and check completion box is marked as completed.
