User menu grades link setting causes Moodle mobile app failure

      1. MAKE SETTINGS CHANGE: Site administration>Grades>General settings>User menu grades link>External URL
      2. Enter a valid URL, such as https://mahopacnydb.mahopac.k12.ny.us/campus/portal/mahopac.jsp
      3. INSTALL Moodle mobile app on an iOS smartphone (fresh install)
      4. SIGN IN to yourmoodlesite.org via the Moodle mobile app
      5. IF local user account, then Moodle mobile app reports "Error: Error connecting to the server"
      6. IF Oauth2 (Google) used, then the same error occurs after selecting "Open"
      7. MAKE SETTINGS CHANGE: Site administration>Grades>General settings>User menu grades link>Overview report
      8. Errors no longer occur.
