This is basically the same as MDL-58555, but for the mobile app, rather than for AJAX requests made from the browser.

At the moment, in developer tools, all the web service requests look the same until you click on them to expand.

The idea is to add a redundant "&info=function_name" to the URL. This has no function, but just serves to make it easier to see what requests were made in the debugging.
