Hi,
we've encountered the following issue:
in Moodle 3.6 the usage of the dashboard blocks is checked to build the dashboard page in the app. If any of the blocks is not used in web, it won't be displayed in the app either. This affects the blocks: myoverview, timeline, recentlyaccessedcourses, recentlyaccesseditems and starredcourses.
If none of these blocks are placed in the web because instances could also use custom blocks and the site home alternative is not used, too, the app is simply not usable for the main feature (accessing courses).
In previous versions of Moodle it was not possible to detect which blocks were used on the site, so they were displayed all (myoverview and timeline).
Maybe it's worth thinking about displaying the other blocks, too. Either in general or maybe only if none of the new blocks is placed in the web. This would prevent cases where the app is simply not usable.
Best, Kathrin
