We have had some feedback from our (Open University) user experience testing on the mobile app, where it seems that many users were confused by the three dots icons.

The reason for their confusion is that the same icon appears in many places, and carries different meanings in each place.

The suggestion from our user experience experts was to use a different icon in the bottom/side tabbar for the more icon. They also suggested using the settings (cog) icon as that was what they found might have helped distinguish its function.
