Test on one device of your choice.

      1. In web as admin, enable the MathJax filter and allow it to be put in content and headings. Disable setting formatstringstriptags. On our master site is already configured.
      2. Put some MathJax code in an activity name. Make sure to use the notation that puts the formulas in new lines ($$ or [). (You can use Mobile dev testing course > Filter > Page with text filters activity.)
      3. Open the activity in the app.
      4. Check the header is not bigger than the previous page and the formula is shown if it fits.

I found a case (not a usual case) where the app header can be larger than expected:

      1. In web as admin, enable the MathJax filter and allow it to be put in content and headings.
      2. Put some MathJax code in an activity name. Make sure to use the notation that puts the formulas in new lines ($$ or [).
      3. Open the activity in the app. The formulas are rendered in the header and it becomes quite large.
