Several Web Services are being updated for returning the correct relative dates but we need to review that is working as expected in the app and that we don't need extra information.

Right now this is only partially supported, those are the topics and status of the issue on 3.8 version:

As a Teacher:

• MDL-66143 Create a course in relative dates mode, so that students can take the course any time:
  • From the app you cannot create courses.
  • Enrolling the user get the start date updated to the relative date.
  • Check as a teacher.
• MDL-66147 Create an assignment activity with a 'due date' relative to the student course start date, so that the student can complete the full course.
  • From the app you cannot create assignments.
  • Due date is received based on the relative date only for students.
• MDL-66148 Override the assignment due date for a student, so that I can adjust for their circumstances .
  • From the app you cannot override assignments user dates.
  • Due date is received based on the relative date only for students.
• MDL-66149 Give an extension on the assignment due date for a student(s), so that I can adjust for their circumstances.
  • From the app you cannot give extensions on assignments.
  • Not finished yet but extensionduedate is present when an attempt has been done.

As a teacher some info  on assignment is missing:

• Is the assignment due date based on course start date. If so: we need the difference between due date and original course date.
• For every participant: get the user due date based on relative, overrides or extensions. On get_submission_status.

As a Student:

• MDL-66144 In a weeks-format course, see the weekly dates displayed relative to my start date, so that I can plan my coursework:
  • Weeks are received based on the relative date.
