Nested replies after the maximum depth don't handle parent subject appropriately

After implementing MOBILE-3230, a new issue has appeared for nested replies. Using the nested layout in a discussion, the replies are flattened out after a maximum reply depth (5 at the moment). This is fine for the UI, but it should not affect showing or hiding subjects depending on their parents. They should behave the same way they are behaving in the default flat layout.
