Use one device of your choice.

Navigate to Settings > General.

Change to Dark mode.

Click on the word Language and check the item is not highlighted (in black).

Click on the language dropbox and check it works.

Description

When using dark mode, if you click/tap on some area the background colour gets darker even if nothing happens. When you use light mode this doesn't happen.
