This issue should be tested both in Android and iOS.

      1. In web as teacher, add a video without a poster in a label or in a section description. There is one in master site > MM Dev Testing > Resource: Page (section description).
      2. In web as teacher, create a page and add at least 1 video without a poster. There is one in master site > MM Dev Testing > Resource: Page > Different videos.
      3. In the app, login in the site.
      4. If the site was already stored in the device, go to More > Site preferences and delete the storage.
      5. Go to the video created in point 1. Check that, before playing the video, you can see the first frame of the video as a "placeholder". Before this patch, in Android you could see an ugly placeholder, and in iOS there was no placeholder, just a transparent background.
      6. Open the page created in point 2. Check that, before playing the video, you can see the first frame of the video as a "placeholder". If you're using the "Different videos" page, please notice that the 3rd video has a poster, you should check the first 2.

Right now on the mobile app if a video does not have a poster nothing is displayed (well, an empty video player that does not look very good). In the web version the first frame is displayed instead.

It seems that there is a workaround to enable this in mobile embedded browsers: https://muffinman.io/blog/hack-for-ios-safari-to-display-html-video-thumbnail/
