Test on one device of each: Android phone and tablet, ios phone and tablet

      On phones:

      1. Navigate on each tab of the main menu and check it's there.
      2. Navigate to another page (ie, course).
      3. Check the main menu disappears.
      4. Check it reappears when you're back on the root page of the tab.

Easy trick: if back arrow is present on the top bar, then main menu should be hidden.

      On tablets:

      1. When main menu is shown on the side, menu will never disappear.
      2. If rotating the tablet, menu appears at the bottom, it will disappear when navigating

      Shaping:

      With the new navigation:

      For mobile:

      • Main menu (aka bottom tabs) should only be shown when the root page of the tab is selected and should disappear when the user navigates into a page.
      • This will have the side-effect of hiding the messages and notifications options everywhere, we should evaluate to introduce popup notifications for messages/notifications in this case (although it could collide with the existing Push notifications behaviour)

      For tablet:

      • Considering that in tablet mode the main menu is moved to the left, we could consider keeping this menu always available for the user and also keeping visible always there the user profile icon (at the very top)

The implementation of this issue should consider that we might need to change the tablet behaviour after A/B or comparative testing.
