Currently, shared or opened files include a hash in their filename, rather than retaining their original filename.

Moodle Mobile could change the name for the file preview and in the share intent. The actual filename stored cannot be changed, as each file is saved in the same location, which could lead to conflicts with other files.

Benefits of using the original name:

• Consistency with browser behaviour.
• Reduces friction by eliminating the need to remove the hash each time.
• Users expect files to retain their original names.
