uploaded photos haven't .jpg extension and they can't be used on for the profile picture

The uploaded photos from the camera or the gallery do not upload with a correct .jpg extension. The images are correctly showed on the private files area but if you try to use this photos to update your profile it can be done because the file brower on the profile editor filter files with .jpg extension.
